Provincial Credit Union is pleased to provide accounts specifically designed for community based non-profit accounts, including churches, societies, lodges, and charitable organizations.  If you're operating a not-for-profit account and require the features of a business account, but with lower costs, this is the account for you.  




Provincial Credit Union offers reduced services charges on the following basis: 



1) For local registered charitable organizations, one business chequing account with no fees attached is permitted.  Additional chequing accounts will be treated the same as other community based non-profit accounts.  Note...official documentation from government is required.




2) If you are a community based non-profit organization we will reduce service charges on one of the following chequing accounts only. 


  • Community Free -  No charge for the first 6 transactions (debits/credits).  Additional items will be $1.00 each.  (Cheque images are not returned. Free viewing on-line allows you to view your account only...transactions are not permitted) 


  • Community Standard - A flat fee account for up to 15 transactions (debits/credits) for $3.25 per month.  Additional transactions are 60¢ each.  A monthly statement with cheque images is included through MemberDirect online banking.  The monthly fee is waived if you maintain a minimum monthly credit balance of $5,000.00.


Note...Provincial Credit Union reserves the right to refuse reduced service charges for accounts we feel do not meet the true definition of a community non-profit organization.





Note...Cash and coin can be supplied at the following rates: 


  • $1.50 per $1,000.00 and coin at 12¢ a roll.  A minimum charge of $10.00 per order. 
  • Each order up to $15,000.00 will be a minimum of $10.00
  • Each order over $15,000.00 will be a minimum of $25.00  



Note...An Account Analysis may be performed at any time by us at our option after the account is opened.  Based on the volume of transactions, float periods, cash/coin deposits, number of cheques on deposit and other factors, service charges may be adjusted.  You will be notified in writing of any changes.
