Provincial Credit Union (PCU) is proud to launch its inaugural Community Impact Grant in September 2025. The Community Impact Grant will allow community groups, organizations, and non-profits to apply for funding that supports important initiatives in Island communities. The grant was developed with Provincial Credit Union’s mission in mind: “Enabling our Communities to Thrive”.
Focus The funding will focus on initiatives that align with PCU’s four key community engagement focuses, which are:
Supporting the inclusion of newcomers, racialized, and marginalized communities
Addressing homelessness and housing needs
Supporting school success for children and youth
Developing financial literacy in communities
CEO Message “This grant reflects what we have always been about...putting our communities first,” says Provincial Credit Union CEO Alfred Arsenault. “We are excited to support community members’ ideas and initiatives to further foster positive growth on our Island.”
Amounts Grants will be issued for projects in the amount between $5,000 and $25,000.
Deadline Applications for funding will be open from Tuesday, September 2nd, until Tuesday, September 30th, 2025.
Community-focused Provincial Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution on Prince Edward Island that focuses on building engagement in its communities. It achieves this through community volunteerism, financial education initiatives, student scholarships, and sponsorships and donations, which resulted in over $750,000 being invested in the Island communities in 2024.
