Release March 25, 2026
Provincial Credit Union has been recognized as a recipient of Dialogue’s 2026 Healthiest Workplace Award, reflecting its commitment to employee well-being and efforts to strengthen a supportive and healthy work environment.
Dialogue's Healthiest Workplace Awards recognizes standout organizations across Canada that continue to push the boundaries of employee well‑being. This recognition reflects active engagement with Dialogue’s services and available care, and positive well-being outcomes.
At Provincial Credit Union, supporting workplace well-being means going beyond introducing initiatives; it means embedding them into workplace practices, measuring progress, and building a culture where employees feel supported over the long term. This award highlights Provincial Credit Union’s commitment to employee health, with staff members accessing mental health services, one-on-one physical health chats with specialists, and meditation and exercise programs as part of Dialogue’s offerings.
“This recognition reflects the importance we place on employee well-being across Provincial Credit Union,” said Linda McGibbon, Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our focus is on ensuring employees can access support when they need it, in ways that fit the realities of their work and lives.”
Canadian employees are facing increasing well-being challenges, with mental health, financial stability, and work-life balance under growing strain. In 2025, 30% of Canadian employees reported a decline in their mental health, while over a quarter (26%) experienced worsening sleep issues, and 23% reported reduced physical activity. Additionally, over 33,500 Islanders are currently waiting for access to a primary healthcare provider. These trends highlight the growing need for employers to take a proactive role in supporting employee well-being, and Provincial Credit Union will continue to strengthen its well-being efforts with the goal of creating a healthier, more positive workplace.
